The Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA) and the MRA Consulting Group are co-hosting a practical workshop for Local Government and those interested in successfully increasing landfill diversion and reducing the costs of disposal through the implementation of Food and Garden Organics (FOGO) collections. Why? The idea of incorporating food waste into the green bin has been around for a while. Within Local Government, it's been rejected by some as simply too hard and fully implemented by others. This workshop will identify the successful strategies and the pitfalls around FOGO implementation in order that Local Government can feel confident in tackling this issue, and continue to meet (and possibly exceed) waste diversion targets.
