Abstract

Biography

Anthony Hill grew up in Coffs Harbour, a keen surfer and sailor. His background is in events management, public speaking and entertainment but his passion is traveling. Circumstances took him to Norway where for over 20 years he ran quiz shows for live audiences, on TV and radio. It was while kayaking in the seemingly pristine fjords of Norway that he become engaged on the issue of plastic pollution and it’s impact on our marine environment. He now travels Australia in his blue camper “Bev” (and sometimes overseas) working as a plastic pollution campaigner and educator. His social enterprise, Plastic Pollution Solutions has a varied program of school & community events, activities and initiatives that aim to engage and empower our communities, through the younger generation, to be a part of the solution to plastic pollution.
