ABOUT THE WASTE 2022 CONFERENCE FORMAT

We are excited to announce that the Waste 2022 Conference is scheduled to go ahead on 3-5 May 2022 at Opal Cove Resort Coffs Harbour. The conference will comply with the most up to date regulations announced by NSW Health and the Australian Government.  The below information outlines the new format of the Industry’s leading waste management conference.

THE STRUCTURE

The Waste 2022 Conference will be a hybrid event featuring:

  • A face-to-face conference and exhibition; 
  • Live broadcasts of all presentations for those who cannot attend the face-to-face event; and 
  • An interactive Equipment & Technology Expo with associated presentations.

The conference program will feature a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions and workshops and will be followed by a three streamed program each day over a 3 day period.

The face-to-face conference and exhibition will no longer have a capacity limit in line with the government announcement on 17 February 2022. 

REGISTRATION

  • A maximum of six (6) delegates from (or employed by) any one organisation, business or government body will be able to register and attend the conference.
  • Delegates will be able to register and attend for the full 3 day conference, or can select a 1 or 2 day option
  • Delegates attending the face-to-face conference will be asked to nominate at the time of registration which conference streams they will be participating in. This information will be used by the organisers as a guide to room capacity limitations…program coming soon
  • Presenters will have the option of registering for the full 3 day conference OR the day they are presenting. If selecting a day registration, presenters will be able to attend the conference sessions (that they nominate at the time of registration) throughout the day

SPONSORS & EXHIBITORS

The indoor and outdoor exhibition layout will be structured as usual:

  • A maximum of one (1) trade delegate is included when booking any indoor exhibition space 
  • Purchasing additional indoor/outdoor trade delegates to the conference is possible should additional delegates wish to attend
  • A maximum of six (6) people from any one organisation will be allowed to attend the conference but any staff in addition to the one included trade delegate will need to register and pay as a trade delegate 
  • Trade delegates will be able to attend all Expo presentations on the Tuesday (located in the Marquee). They will not be able to attend the conference presentations on Wednesday or Thursday unless a stream pass is purchased, they will have access to them online also
  • Morning and afternoon tea will be held amongst our exhibitors and lunch will be located in the Horizon's Restaurant and Terrace

ONSITE

  • QR codes will no longer be required by venues
  • Masks will be available for use if required and on request though are not mandatory
  • Sanitiser stations will be readily available and positioned throughout the venue
  • Delegates are advised to exercise care and courtesy and are requested to follow social distancing where practicable
  • Should a delegate present with any cold or flu like symptoms, they will be asked to leave the conference

SOCIAL EVENTS

There will be three (3) social events as usual

  • Welcome Reception (Tuesday 3rd May) – this will take place outside amongst the outdoor exhibitors (weather permitting) 
  • Conference Dinner (Wednesday 4th May) – This will take place at Pacific Bay Resort and will begin outdoors to enable maximum networking opportunities. A seated (themed) dinner will take place inside
  • Finale Buffet (Thursday 5th May) – this will take place in the Horizon’s Restaurant and on the Terrace (weather permitting)

CANCELLATIONS

  •  If a delegate needs to cancel due to COVID related reasons beyond their control (positive COVID test, lock down, travel restrictions, unwell or other government related restrictions) a substitute from your organisation is welcome. If this is not possible a full refund will be given
  • If the event is cancelled due to reasons beyond our control, a full refund of delegate fees will be issued

DISCLAIMER

Should COVID restrictions change between now and the time of the conference the above will be revised accordingly. Should capacity limitations be re-introduced, attendance will be accepted on a first in basis. Delegates will be notified if their booking needs to be cancelled as a result and a refund will be issued.
